Our recent Threat Detection for Professional Services report*, which asked questions of 115 CISOs and cyber security decision-makers from within Professional Services companies with between 500-5,000 employees, revealed that 77% say they have been victims of a cyber attack. Worryingly, 69% say their current cyber security team is underperforming, or has a need for improvement.

When we looked specifically at the Legal sector, a key industry under the umbrella of Professional Services, a Cert-UK report revealed that a significant 65% of Law firms have been victims of a cyber incident. And yet, a third (33%) still don’t have a cyber mitigation plan in place.

To better understand why Law firms might be so vulnerable to attack, and why they are not putting defences in place, we hosted a roundtable, entitled ‘UK law firms - a victim of cyber threats or cyber incompetence? Have traditional SOC methods failed them?’, at this year’s British Legal Tech Forum.

Co-chaired by Rob Demain, CEO of e2e-assure and Andrew Rose, former customer of e2e-assure and 2018’s European CISO of the Year, the roundtable was attended by CISOs and IT Managers from the top UK 200 Law firms, with employee numbers sitting between 500-5000.  Download the full report here:  https://eu1.hubs.ly/H0b80vD0
