Michael, despite his youthful looks, is old. His teenage children laugh at the slow speed as he types on his laptop and his phone. Despite this, he successfully forged a new career in cybersecurity when in his early 50s. He is now Academy Team Leader at Pentest People, where he trains recent graduates to become pen-testing security consultants. To do this, he uses his old skills, acquired from almost 30 years as a history teacher, along with his newfound knowledge built through lots of self-study and a Master’s in Cybersecurity. He likes to think that he would have got away with his career change if it weren’t for those pesky kids.
