Tarquin is a former senior diplomat with over 30 years government service in the military and FCO, where he focused on national security policy. He served in Europe, Asia Pacific and the Middle East before retiring in 2013. Since then, he has worked in the UK’s tech sector. He is currently Vice Chairman of the Security Awareness Special Interest Group (SASIG). Tarquin has an interest in the nexus between technology and human users as a point of vulnerability and the continuing influence of geopolitics on the digital threat landscape.
